Southern California Will Get Hot By 2047

A new study is predicting permanent hot weather for the whole world... and Southern California could be feeling the heat by the middle of the century.

The study out today in the journal Nature is based on computer climate models and it says if current greenhouse gas emissions stay the same, the coldest year in the future will be warmer than any hot day in the past.

Scientists from the University of Hawaii compiled the data and found that the first U.S. cities to feel the heat will be Honolulu and Phoenix, followed by San Diego and Orlando, with L.A. right behind. But the researchers acknowledge that even though computer climate models are the best tools available, they do have some problems.
