Overpriced Health Care

Overpriced Health Care
The reason health care in the US is so overpriced might surprise you.

Many people think health costs keep rising because there are more old people and they're running up the charges, but according to a new study the biggest driver of rising prices is people under 65 with chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease.

And even though America spends about 2 point 7 trillion dollars a year, or about 18 percent of the gross domestic product, on health care, we lag behind the rest of the developed world when it comes to actually improving health.

The new findings have been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
